Hi Lauren,

There are some free barrier games you can print on our website http://www.talkingmatters.com.au/resources/downloads/cat_view/2-barrier-games

There are lots of other free ones on pinterest, just put "barrier games" into the search bar. We have also purchased the pack available from Pelican Talk. Another cheap way to purchase barrier games is to buy two identical sets of the sticker sets with backgrounds. Sets of 3D objects are great too, such as beads, blocks, small figurines. At Talking Matters when we purchase most things we try to get two sets so they can be used as barrier games.

Have fun,

Jo

Reliable content. Actually useful and not a tremendous amount of filler.
It would be outstanding if more websites had this level of
content, then maybe the big g would lighten up
on their strict policies!

Hi Melynda,

I am glad you enjoyed the post and hope you find future ones interesting as well. We cover a range of topics but usually include one on play every couple of weeks because it is such a vital part of children's development.

Thanks for this post. I totally agree. We sell kids cubbies and I own one too, so I see all the time the benefits that they give children. Kids cubbies and cubby house furniture plus playground equipment stimulates children's imagination and creates endless hours of fun for them. I totally think a cubby house (for example) is a far better present than video games or DVDs. The child can actually create their own fantasy world, rather than rely on someone else's programming! Thanks again for your awesome post.
